NetSuite SuiteCommerce FAQ
What do your NetSuite SuiteCommerce services include?
We cover the full SuiteCommerce lifecycle: SuiteCommerce and SuiteCommerce Advanced (SCA) implementation, MyAccount portals, themes and storefront design, custom extensions, SCA upgrades and migrations to SuiteCommerce, data migration, and integrations with payments, shipping and warehouse systems. After launch we provide ongoing support and optimization.
Should we choose SuiteCommerce or SuiteCommerce Advanced?
Both run on the same platform and share the same core features. SuiteCommerce is customized through the Extensibility API and NetSuite manages its updates, so it costs less to build and maintain. SuiteCommerce Advanced unlocks the source code so developers can change core business logic, but you plan and deploy its updates yourself. Most businesses should start with SuiteCommerce and move to SCA only when they need changes the Extensibility API can't support. Read our SuiteCommerce vs. SuiteCommerce Advanced comparison for the details.
How long does a SuiteCommerce implementation take?
It depends on scope. The main drivers are SuiteCommerce vs. SCA, how much the theme is customized, the number of custom extensions and integrations, B2B requirements such as customer-specific pricing and quotes, and how clean your item and customer data is in NetSuite. We confirm a timeline after a short discovery session, before any work starts.
How much do SuiteCommerce services cost?
Your SuiteCommerce license is billed by Oracle NetSuite. Our implementation fee depends on the same drivers as the timeline: platform choice, design, extensions, integrations and data work. SuiteCommerce Advanced usually costs more to build and maintain because updates are self-managed. After discovery we give you a written scope and estimate.
Can you take over or fix an existing SuiteCommerce Advanced site?
Yes. We start with a review of your SCA customizations and version, then recommend whether to fix and upgrade the current build or move custom features into extensions on SuiteCommerce. From there we can provide ongoing support.
Does SuiteCommerce work for B2B companies?
Yes. SuiteCommerce supports B2B and B2C on the same platform, including customer-specific price levels and catalogs, quote requests, reordering from order history, and paying invoices online through MyAccount. We also connect it to the rest of your operation, such as Braintree payments and NetSuite WMS.
